The sequel takes place a year after the first movie, with Riley as a new teenager experiencing even more new emotions as she starts high school. Maya Hawke joins the cast as Anxiety. Amy Poehler returns as Joy, Phyllis Smith is Sadness, Lewis Black is Anger, Tony Hale is Fear, and Liza Lapira is Disgust.
