FINALLY! A PRICE ON LOVE: $3600

Whoever said “Money can’t buy love,” (we think it was The Beatles) may want to rethink that statement.

While you may split the cost of rent while living with your significant other, a recent survey showed that people in relationships are more likely to spend more money on gifts, vacations and dinner than those who are single.

The survey also concluded that people who are in relationships are more likely to spend their money on items and services that boost their own appearance, such as expensive clothing, jewelry and even gym memberships!

Mike‘s Input: I feel like I spent WAY MORE time and money on my appearance when I was single. I worked out all the time, I bought nicer clothes and all of the jewelry I own was bought when I was single. Now, me and my girlfriend go out to eat all the time, we buy more pointless items than we did when we weren’t together like decorations (don’t judge me). I think I spend the same amount, I just saved more money not going out to eat and buying fire hazards to display all over the house.”

Do you think you spend more money while you’re in a relationship?
