New in Theaters: “Venom: The Last Dance” and “Conclave”

1.  “Venom: The Last Dance”  (PG-13)  Trailer

Tom Hardy returns as Venom for the third and supposedly final movie in the trilogy.  In this one, they’re on the run from the government and a new alien threat after all the chaos from the previous movies catches up to them.

Juno Temple plays a scientist studying the alien symbiotes, Chiwetel Ejiofor leads the assault team tracking them, and Andy Serkis is the film’s mysterious Big Bad . . . the creator of the symbiotes who sends an army of creatures after them.

2.  “Conclave”  (PG)  Trailer

A mystery thriller full of political intrigue, starring Ralph Fiennes as a Cardinal investigating dark secrets at the Vatican after the Pope dies suddenly, and he’s assigned to run the conclave to elect the next Pope.  Stanley Tucci and John Lithgow are two of the main candidates scheming for the throne, and Isabella Rossellini plays an overly perceptive Vatican housekeeper.
