“Star Wars” Crosses $1 Billion Worldwide, But Drops to Third at the Box Office

“Star Wars: The Force Awakens” crossed the $1 BILLION mark overseas, giving it $1.9 billion in worldwide box office revenue.  But it dropped to #3 in the U.S., behind “Ride Along 2” and “The Revenant”.  Here’s the Top 10:

  1. “The Revenant”, $29.5 million. Up to $87.7 million in its 4th week.

 

  1. “Star Wars: The Force Awakens”, $25.1 million. Up to $851.1 million in its 5th week.

 

  1. NEW: “13 Hours: The Secret Soldiers of Benghazi”, $16 million.

 

  1. “Daddy’s Home”, $9.3 million. Up to $129.3 million in its 4th week.

 

  1. NEW: “Norm of the North”, $6.7 million.

 

  1. “The Forest”, $5.8 million. Up to $21.1 million in its 2nd week.

 

  1. “The Big Short”, $5.2 million. Up to $50.5 million in its 6th week.
